![]() So I did the same `msiexec /a WinPerReleaseMsi.msi` trick, and the US version does not ask for a custom base dir where to prepare a network admin install - it just extracts the stuff into the root dir of the drive from where you run the "msiexec /a" command. ![]() So, I tried the same approach with the US version, which actually has the MSI package readily available from the TEMP-extracted files by the official installer - which is "WinPerReleaseMsi.msi" (the equivalent "Turbo Tax 2020.msi" file for Canada requires additional steps to get, in fact). You just need to copy the patched DLL of course (which for the Canadian version it is named ".dll") And the Canadian version just work, even without having to install anything - by just running "tt2020.exe" from that dir, including all the updates (and those can be performed online). I've managed to make the CANADIAN version (the "Personal Edition") work without any problems in Win7, by grabbing the "TurboTax 2020.msi" file and doing a `msiexec /a "TurboTax 2020.msi" and then copying the "\program files" to some other disk location of my preference.
